Competition, and be not older than thirty (30) years old. N5000.00 application fee is required for this

ELIGIBILITY RULES AND
REQUIREMENTS
To compete in the Miss Deaf Nigeria, a contestant may not
first win a local pageant. The most important quality is to have the
commitment, perseverance, talent, ambition, and determination. To compete you
must meet the following requirements:
Eligibility Rules:
Deaf & Hard of Hearing.
If the contestant is
claiming eligibility to compete based upon her status as Deaf or Hard of
Hearing, she would need to submit an official audiogram signed by a certified
audiologist, showing evidence of bilateral and unaided hearing loss within a
year prior to Miss Deaf Nigeria competition.
Age.
In order to be
eligible to compete, a contestant must be at least eighteen (18) years old at
the time of her first appearance at the Miss Deaf Nigeria Competition and be no
older than Thirty (30) years old by September 1. A copy of her birth
certificate must be provided to the Miss Deaf Nigeria.
Single.
The contestant must
be single, never have been married nor had a marriage annulled, and must have
never given birth to a child. If eventually got pregnant or married as a
winner, she will drop the crown for the first runner up.
Residence.
You must be a
citizen, a permanent resident of Nigeria.
Convicted.
The contestant must never have been convicted of any crimes,
other than minor traffic infractions (i.e. no felony and misdemeanor).
Health Insurance.
The contestant must
have active health insurance during the Miss Deaf Nigeria retreat and
competition week.
Autobiography.
The contestant will
submit a 100 words or less autobiography (Explain about herself)
Forms.
The contestant must submit a signature of this form, entry
form, birth certificate, an audiogram,
a professional photograph, autobiography, and an entry fee
(N3000) by the deadline of October 1. If past deadline, it will be N5000.
Others
Each delegate must be
a naturally born, genetic female.
Each delegate must be a citizen of Nigeria through either
birth or naturalization process.
Upon request, each delegate must be prepared to show
documentation of citizenship in the event that there is a question to this
issue.
English is the official language of the Pageant.
Each delegate must be of good moral character having never
committed a public act that is not consistent with the highest standards of
moral integrity. She must not have
appeared nude in print, film or live, or participated in any lewd or
provocative public acts or behaviors.
States Audition
Delegates who reside
in a state where a state audition is held are required to compete in said state
audition unless approval to compete at-large has been agreed upon by the
Executive Director .
Delegates agree to
look solely to the regional director for any and all matters relating to the
state audition.
If selected as a
state representative after a state audition, contestant agrees to attend the
MDN, and to look to the national office for all matters regarding the pageant
Additional requirements:
*Every State and the
FCT can send only one participant.
*The contestant must be available to attend Miss Deaf
Nigeria on the set date.
*All contestants will
be provided lodging and meals at the Miss Deaf Nigeria Pageant hotel .
*The contestant will be responsible for her transportation
(air ticket)
*You must have breast size up to 90cm and have a waist up to
70cm and a hip up to 95cm, height be over
170cm (5'7")
*Every contestants should bring one full – length evening
gown including two pairs (2) of heel shoes and one costume (clothes to
represent her state) for the final Miss Deaf Nigeria evening.
*The contestants have to prepare a short performance art for
the competition final – free discipline
(Ballet, karate, poetry, mime, dance, gymnastics, drama,
sign-singing, story and others)
Maximum time of the
performance should be 3 minutes. Also bring her own costume to go with her
talent and CD music where necessary.
*The contestant must send one photograph (head shot) and one
photograph (full body length in evening dress). The photos must be sent in a
high quality and professional for the website of MDN!
*Every contestant must have international passport and must
be available to represent Nigeria internationally.
*To be eligible for an at-large state title, a delegate must
meet at least one of the following criteria:
Current residency in the state or region
Current employment in the state or region
Currently attends school in the state
*Winners are not allowed to enter into any contract or
agreement with any organization or individual during her period of reigning,
every contract must be signed by MBDGN and MDN.
*Former winners of Miss Deaf Nigeria Pageant titles may not
re-compete.
*Contestants are not allowed to contest in any other pageant
while MDN is going on or enter into any other competition during the course of
the pageant
*Failure to adhere to any of these rules may automatically
disqualify the applicant from competing in the Miss Deaf Nigeria Competition.
* Each contestant is expected to attend and be on time for
all scheduled rehearsals, meals, dinner parties and events – competition or
otherwise – during the MDN pageant. Any
unexcused absence or tardiness may result in disqualification with no refund.
The MBDN and MDN Director has the sole authority to excuse an absence,
tardiness or disqualification of a delegate.
*Under no circumstance should any contestant try to bypass
MDN and MBDGN to deal with any international or local pageant organizer, any
attempt to do this will result to instant disqualification
*The deadline for your entry form and all other required
enclosures on October 1.
Application fee is five thousand naira - (N5000), if after
October.

AGREEMENTS
It is mutually agreed upon by and between The Most Beautiful
Deaf Girl In Nigeria MBDGN organizer of Miss & Mr Deaf Nigeria pageant MDN and the
contestant that MBDGN shall have no liability whatsoever to a contestant. The MBDGN
shall have no liability for loss, damage, or injury resulting from any cause to
the property of or to the contestant, or for any loss profits, sales, or
business opportunities, or any other type of direct or indirect of
consequential damages. It is further understood and agreed that all claims
against the Miss Deaf Nigeria for any damages, loss, or personal injury are
expressly waived by the contestant and assumed as the contestant’s
responsibility.
The contestant agrees
to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MBDGN, its agents, officers, Sponsors and
employees, from all claims, actions, and suits, including court costs,
attorney’s fee and other expenses, arising out of the negligent acts or
omissions of the contestant.
